Indoor playgrounds: the guide

When it rains, when it's too hot, or when kids just need to burn energy: indoor playgrounds save the day.

Why go

Let's be honest: it's loud, it's chaotic, and you're not going there to relax.

But:

  • Kids really burn off energy
  • They sleep well after
  • You can have a coffee while they play
  • Works in any weather
  • How to choose

    By age

Check that the venue has a section for your children's age:

  • 0-3 years: separate space, soft floors, low structures
  • 3-6 years: slides, ball pits
  • 6+ years: tall structures, trampolines
  • Equipment to check

  • Socks required (often mandatory)
  • Café or food on site
  • Lockers and changing rooms
  • Our practical tips

Arrive early: They fill up fast on weekends.

    Bring socks: Many require them.

Set a time limit: 1.5-2 hours is usually enough.

    Budget

Expect €8-15 per child depending on location. Often free for adults.
